Balavignaja Balasiri is an Associate at Varners and a member of the firm’s Corporate & Commercial practice. She is an Attorney-at-Law of the Supreme Court of Sri Lanka.

Current Practice

Vignaja’s practice encompasses a broad range of corporate and commercial matters, including corporate advisory, commercial transactions, regulatory compliance and corporate governance. She assists clients on transactional and operational matters, including the preparation and review of corporate and commercial documentation, legal research, and advice on issues arising in the course of business operations and corporate structuring.

She is also involved in corporate litigation and arbitration, where she assists with case preparation, legal research, drafting submissions, reviewing evidence and supporting the conduct of contentious proceedings. In addition, Vignaja advises on company secretarial matters, including statutory filings, preparation of board and shareholder resolutions, maintenance of corporate records and compliance with applicable regulatory requirements. Her practice therefore spans transactional, advisory, regulatory and dispute-related matters across the corporate and commercial spectrum.
